Why Europe?
Once the world centre of Christian mission, Europe has now become the global centre of secularism. Did you know this?:
- Germany: number of Protestants has shrunk from 47 to 23 million in last 50 years (of those only 3% go to church)
- Spain: population of 30 million, only 0.01% are born again
- Portugal: 52 counties, representing 10% of population, have no evangelical church
- UK: 1000 mosques, with plans to add another 200 in coming years, while churches close
- France: 2 million Muslims, church shrinking in influence.
Despite the trends, this is the church's time!
